Dr. Zhang’s patent expertise covers technical areas of mechanics, electrics, optics and physics, including: instruments, optical engineering, microstructure fabrication, semiconductors, liquid display, control systems, detection, mechanical & electronic products, molding, welding, spinning, materials fabrication, printing, and domestic appliances.

Dr. Zhang provides services of drafting patent applications, prosecuting the applications of both domestic and foreign clients, reexamination, invalidation and appeal procedures, rendering opinions on infringement and/or invalidity as well as patent search. Dr. Zhang have drafted hundreds of CN, US and EP patent applications and provided professional services of responding to office communications, patent analysis, patent mapping and counseling on invalidation strategies, for many high-profile domestic and multinational corporations.

Dr. Zhang obtained a B.S. degree in Machine Design, Manufacture and Automation in 2002, and Ph.D. degree in Instrument Science and Technology from Tsinghua University.? Dr. Zhang used to work in Tsinghua University OMNERC (Optical Memory National Engineering Research Center) on research and product development.
